The deadline to register is October 28, 2026. The call is specifically aimed at children and young people who live in the municipality but attend schools in other towns. Applications can be submitted in person at the City Council's Education and Training Service or online, through the designated forms.
The Children's Council, for 5th and 6th-grade primary students, aims to gather the opinions and proposals of younger residents to improve the municipality. It will consist of school representatives and 4 to 6 children educated outside the municipality, with a maximum of 30 members. During the 2026-2027 academic year, this council will focus on the 'School of Peace' project, promoting activities related to coexistence and a culture of peace, as well as participating in the Race for Peace and evaluating the municipal Children's Plan.
The establishment of the new Children's Council is scheduled for November 5th in the Josep Brossa hall at La Patronal. All information and forms are available on the municipal website.
Meanwhile, the Adolescents' Council will welcome young people in 1st and 2nd year of ESO residing in Sant Quirze and educated elsewhere. This body, with a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 40 members, will have a two-academic-year term. Sessions, which will include lunch, will take place on Wednesdays from 3 PM to 5 PM at the Masia de Can Feliu.
The inaugural session of the Adolescents' Council will be held on November 25th. Interested young people can consult the requirements and submit their applications via the municipal website.
Both initiatives, promoted by the City Council in collaboration with the educational community, aim to incorporate the perspective of young people in municipal life, foster debate and critical thinking, and encourage their involvement in decisions affecting Sant Quirze del Vallès.
