The sidewalk expansion works on Avenida Quinze, between Baronia and Setze streets in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, were completed this week, improving pedestrian accessibility.

The sidewalk expansion works on Avenida Quinze, in the section between Baronia and Setze streets, have concluded this week in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda. The project, which began on September 7 and was carried out by the company Construcciones Fasbala S.L, cost approximately 48,000 euros.
According to Albert Bonàs, Councilor for Mobility and Accessibility of the Santa Perpètua City Council, the main objective of the work was to "improve pedestrian accessibility and mobility on this street in the La Florida neighborhood." Bonàs confirmed that the sidewalk expansion did not affect the two-way traffic flow for vehicles.
The councilor explained that "the space gained for the sidewalk was lost from the roadway, but the avenue has maintained its two-way traffic." He added that "the traffic lanes have been made slightly narrower to encourage vehicles to reduce their speed and also to increase safety."
"Little by little, but inexorably, we are transforming Santa Perpètua to make it more accessible and pedestrian-friendly," insisted Albert Bonàs.
