The episode of intense rainfall led to over twenty incidents in the municipality. According to the City Council, most were due to collapsed drains, which, despite having been cleaned days earlier, became blocked again by falling leaves and the volume of water. A total of 44.6 liters per square meter were recorded, according to the municipal weather station.
The Councilor for Citizen Security and Civil Protection, Sergi Garcia, explained that drains had to be lifted at about ten intersections to reduce water accumulation. The City Council activated the emergency plan for rain, with the intervention of the Local Police, the Association of Civil Protection Volunteers, and Mogoda Serveis. Water accumulation occurred in usual spots as well as areas such as under the AP7 bridge next to the CAM, on Verge de Montserrat street, on Pau Picasso street with García Nieto street, on Onze de setembre avenue with Les Minetes street, under the train bridge on Tres avenue, in the Les Pereres industrial estate, on Tretze street, and on the side streets of the Honda company.
Drips were also recorded in various municipal and educational buildings, including the municipal nursery schools Els Pins and l'Espiga, the schools La Florida and Santa Perpètua, and the Granja Soldevila. Sergi Garcia reported a large tree falling on Font dels Joncs street, which the Firefighters cut down without causing damage, and a traffic accident on Florida promenade where a vehicle collided with a lamppost.
