The Mayor of Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, Joan Carles Mingueza, met with the General Director of CASSA, Lluís Jordan, to gain firsthand knowledge of the ongoing developments in the municipality's water supply and to define new lines of work. The meeting also included the First Deputy Mayor for Territorial Affairs, Sergi Hernández; CASSA's Concessions Manager, Joan Parte; and Head of Service, Montse Ruiz.
CASSA reported on the 2024-2027 investment program, funded by 3.6 million euros from the Replacement Fund. Mayor Mingueza emphasized the importance of water management as an essential service and highlighted that "coordinated work between the Town Hall and CASSA is fundamental for planning actions, anticipating needs, and responding to any incidents that may arise." He assured that these investments allow for "progress towards a more modern, efficient network prepared to face future challenges".
Among the discussions, the replacement of the Citroën regulating valve at the intersection of Sant Isidre street and Sabadell avenue, connecting the Santiga and Gallecs reservoirs, was detailed. The project to renovate the water pipeline between the Gallecs reservoirs and the Regulators, running along the Camí de l'Aplec, was also explained, replacing the asbestos-cement pipe with a new 300-millimeter ductile iron pipe.
The meeting also served to address other strategic projects such as the deployment of smart meter reading and the Regenerated Water Master Plan, aiming to improve network management, facilitate incident detection, and strengthen the continuity of potable water supply to the municipality.
