This workshop encourages reflection on racism, prejudice, coexistence, and cultural diversity. Students learn to use audiovisual language as a tool for social expression and transformation by creating short audiovisual pieces.
During the learning process, information is provided about border situations, rights violations are identified, and hegemonic narratives that normalize inequalities are questioned. According to the cooperative, everything is done from an antiracist, feminist, and intersectional perspective, opening spaces for dialogue, critical thinking, and active participation.
The project will culminate in the creation of a collective audiovisual piece for public awareness. The sessions began on October 7th and will conclude on November 9th with an open session for all participating centers at Vapor, sala Filadora.
Local entities participated in a meeting on October 8th where the City Council explained the SPM Antiracista campaign and proposed activities for the municipal campaign.
