The episode of torrential rains affecting Santa Perpètua de Mogoda since last Saturday has caused more than fifty incidents, keeping the emergency plan active and requesting public caution.

Police forces, Civil Protection volunteers, Mogoda Serveis, and municipal brigades continue to work to minimize the consequences of the rains that have occurred since Saturday. About twenty floods and water accumulations have been recorded in various public spaces, including neighborhoods like Can Folguera, La Florida, La Creueta, and industrial estates, as well as drainage problems in streets such as Verge de Montserrat, Casal dels Mogoda, Mar Adriàtic, l'Alguer, the roundabout of La Llagosta, and Onze de Setembre avenue.
The rainfall, which totaled up to 144 liters per square meter over the weekend, has caused leaks, filtrations, and floods in several buildings and parking lots. La Florida school is the most affected, with significant leaks in the kindergarten area, although students are continuing classes normally. Today, 60 liters per square meter have accumulated.
The Councilor for Citizen Security and Civil Protection, Sergi Garcia, detailed major incidents including the collapse of a wall on Menorca street, part of a roof, and a chimney on Girona avenue. The Caldes stream has risen significantly without posing a risk to homes, but the Polinyà stream was temporarily closed to traffic as a precaution.
The torrential rains also brought mud, stones, and vegetation debris from natural areas to various roads, which had to be closed for cleaning. Trees also fell in Pere Bufí park, in front of the Library, in the Can Folguera parking lot, next to the Mossos d'Esquadra station, and at the Santa Perpètua School.
Due to mud accumulation, València street is closed, mud removal is underway on l'Alguer street, and la Creueta street is also affected. This mud comes from cultivated fields and the highway embankment. Catalunya street is restricted in the direction of Santa Perpètua. Access to the Can Oller industrial estate must be via the Can Oller bridge.
Municipal services are working to remove mud, restore access, and prioritize the removal of fallen trees and other incidents caused by the storm in various parts of Santa Perpètua. The City Council urges citizens to avoid driving in affected areas and to follow the signage and instructions from emergency and municipal services.
