The Castellers de Terrassa held their Ordinary General Assembly this weekend, renewing with broad support the confidence in the candidacy of Ariadna Puertas and Rafael Català to lead the turquoise-blue 'colla'.

The Ordinary General Assembly of the turquoise-blue 'colla' served to make a positive assessment of the year 2025 across all areas, both from the technical and directive boards. The key item on the agenda was the renewal of the leadership, where the candidacy headed by Puertas (president) and Català (head of the 'colla') received strong backing.
The voting results were 76 votes in favor, 28 against, and 5 blank. Although the continuity project remains, several modifications have occurred in the internal bodies. The secretariat will remain in the hands of Anna Maria Masdeu, while Carles Bistué will serve as vice-president and treasurer. Ana Martínez joins as a board member and Albert Gallardo will lead the Communication commission.
Regarding the technical commission, the group leaders are also renewed: Joan Enric Pujol will be in charge of the 'pinyes' (bases); Martí Jiménez and Albert Pons will lead the 'troncs' (trunks); and the 'canalla' (children) team will be headed by Núria Parejo and Núria Salvador.

"We are committed to transversality in the management of the entity, with a long-term vision and the generation of succession. We want to increase the organizational capacity of the 'colla', strengthen the sense of belonging, and enrich the 'castellera' culture, especially for the most recent members."

In the technical field, under the direction of Rafael Català, the main objective is to increase technical quality and rotation among the components in both the 'troncs' and 'pinyes'. The 'colla' seeks to consolidate the range of 'castells' achieved last season and aims to frequently attempt complex structures like the five or seven of seven, with the long-term goal of recovering the nine of seven.
The new 'castellera' season officially began on Sunday, February 1 with the first two pillars of four at the Terrassa Half Marathon. Upcoming events include the Carnival Parade on Saturday, February 14 and the Diada de Santa Eulàlia d’Esparreguera. Among the most important events of the year are the Festa Major de Terrassa in July and the Tarragona Castells Competition in October.
