Workers at the AXIOMA sterilization department, organized by the CGT union in Terrassa, will begin an indefinite strike on January 14 to protest workload and loss of purchasing power.

This company is crucial as it is responsible for the reuse and sterilization of surgical material utilized by major hospitals and health centers throughout the province of Barcelona.
The CGT union justifies the strike citing continuous workload overload, severe loss of salary purchasing power, and the repeated refusal of the company AXIOMA to negotiate solutions.
If no agreement is reached before January 14, the indefinite strike could directly affect healthcare activity at reference hospitals such as Vall d’Hebron, Mútua de Terrassa, and Hospital de Sant Pau, as well as various aesthetic clinics and Primary Care Centers (CAPs).
The CGT Terrassa section has confirmed it will provide a resistance fund (strike fund) to ensure the viability of the labor conflict for as long as necessary, emphasizing the staff's strong determination to achieve a solution that ends existing precariousness.
