The new location, in the Ca n’Aurell neighborhood, replaces the old premises that the fan club occupied for decades on the Rambla d’Ègara. Both Laporta and Olmo, who is recovering from a shoulder injury, were enthusiastically received by the fans present, signing autographs and posing for photographs.
The event was attended by local authorities, including the Mayor of Terrassa, Jordi Ballart, who presented the Barça president with a city pin. The president of the fan club, Cèsar Paüls, welcomed the attendees.
“"I feel like one more Egarenc."
The Penya Barcelonista 1900 celebrates its 70th anniversary this year, a milestone that Laporta highlighted as proof of the entity's vitality and renewed energy with the relocation.
“"Some fan clubs barely reach 50 and you already have 70. This is marvelous, because you arrive with joy and renewed energy, and the proof is the inauguration of this new venue."
