FC Barcelona President Joan Laporta presided over the inauguration of the new headquarters of the Penya Barcelonista 1900 in Terrassa's Plaça de Sant Oleguer on December 17, using the occasion to assert the club's institutional strength.
The event, which celebrated the 70th anniversary of the supporters’ club led by Cèsar Paüls, gathered a large number of members and was attended by the city's mayor, Jordi Ballart, first-team player Dani Olmo, and former roller hockey player Joaquim Paüls.

"We have reversed the situation, the institution is strong, and joy has returned to Barcelonismo, and it seems some places cannot stand it."
The Blaugrana leader made a clear reference to the Madrid media, assuring that “others, to divert attention from their shortcomings, have to talk only about Barça. I will have time to discuss this later, more calmly, because sometimes they are going a bit too far.”

"Today is an important day, a day of satisfaction, of many emotions, and a day when one feels truly proud to be the mayor of this city and also to carry the Barcelonista feeling of being a Barça supporter."
The Mayor of Terrassa highlighted that Penya 1900 is a reference entity, not only in the sports field but also culturally, and presented Laporta with the insignia bearing the city's coat of arms. For his part, Cèsar Paüls thanked the members for their support and gave special recognition to Rosa Barbanoj.
