Public transport usage in Terrassa saw a generalized increase in 2025, highlighted by a surge of over 54% in Rodalies validations using integrated tickets.

The most notable increase occurred in Rodalies (commuter rail), which rose from 1,052,620 validations in 2024 to 1,624,787 in 2025, adding 572,167 additional journeys. This 54% growth is, by far, the highest percentage increase among all transport services managed by T-Mobilitat.
This sharp rebound is mainly attributed to changes in fare policies. During 2024, the specific Rodalies pass was free, temporarily diverting users away from integrated tickets (such as the T-usual or T-casual). With the end of the free period in 2025, many travelers returned to using integrated tickets.

The T-jove card offers a very competitive value for money, which has driven the massive return to integrated tickets.

Other operators also showed positive trends. FGC registered an increase close to 10%, reaching 6.37 million validations. The Exprés Terrassa–Barcelona service grew by 16.5%, exceeding 350,000 validations during 2025.
Regarding urban transport, TMESA remains the most used service, with over 16.1 million validations, a slight increase of 0.36% compared to the previous year. Interurban lines connecting Terrassa with Sabadell and Matadepera also grew by 6.26% and nearly 1%, respectively, consolidating mobility across the Vallès Occidental region.
