The platform was developed by Sergi Camps, an engineer and musician from Terrassa with over fifteen years of experience in digital product development. Sergi identified a clear need within the cultural sector: to democratize access to a professional ticketing tool that would not penalize smaller organizers. "Those who organize events independently should not lose money for every ticket they sell".
With this premise, Talonarium offers commission-free sales strategies, allowing the organizer to retain control over their revenue. The platform operates on a freemium model: there is a free plan that already allows managing and validating tickets, and paid plans with very low prices that only apply to additional functionalities, not a percentage of sales.
The process is very simple: each organizer defines the payment method, which is entirely external to the platform (bank transfer, bizum, cash...). Once payment is received, it must be manually validated, and at that point, the attendee receives their tickets.
Beyond the economic model, Talonarium provides everyone with a wide range of professional functionalities:
- Events with multiple sessions
- Online, in-person, or box office sales
- Integrated ticket scanner
- Seat map editor
- Data export and analysis
- Mass invitation sending
- iOS, Android, or web app, in Catalan, Spanish, or English
- Event listings on the events calendar
- Personalized support
- Others
The project was born in Terrassa and is already available worldwide, with a significant impact in Latin America. Interested organizers can find offers and updates on the Instagram account @talonarium, where Sergi posts promotions and guides new users through their first steps.
“"The goal is for small organizers, as well as neighborhood associations, workshops or courses, emerging venues, or small artists, among many others, to have the same tools as a major promoter, either for free or at a reasonable price."
