The new intervention will focus on repairing damage caused by water leaks affecting the building's exterior vertical enclosures, a work by architect Coll i Bacardí and declared a Local Cultural Heritage Site (BCIL).
This phase includes specific treatment to prevent humidity from the ground and the installation of a ventilation system in the basement to ensure good indoor air quality. These works follow up on those executed in 2024, when wooden windows and shutters were restored with an investment of nearly 110,000 euros.
“"This intervention provides continuity to the work started last year and is part of the City Council's commitment to maintaining municipal architectural heritage."
The project also includes repairing the flat terrace to prevent new leaks and sanitizing the damaged stone and ceramic surfaces of the balconies. Furthermore, a lifeline will be installed on the upper roof for safe future maintenance work.
The works are co-financed by the Generalitat de Catalunya, contributing 81,604.51 euros through the 2024-2026 subsidy call. The bidding process, with a budget of 115,776.76 euros, began last December and is expected to conclude in the last quarter of 2026.
