The first prize of the 2026 El Niño Extraordinary Lottery, number 06703, was drawn today, Tuesday, January 6, benefiting numerous Catalan towns, including Terrassa and Barcelona.

The number 06703, awarded 2 million euros per series (200,000 euros per tenth), was the first prize of the El Niño Lottery 2026, held on Tuesday, January 6. The city of Terrassa was one of the main beneficiaries, as it was sold at the administration located on Avinguda de Béjar, 182.
This first prize was distributed entirely across Catalonia, also reaching municipalities such as Mataró, Barcelona, Cornellà de Llobregat, el Prat de Llobregat, Rubí, Mollet del Vallès, Sant Pere de Ribes, Castelldefels, and Sabadell, in the province of Barcelona, and Salou, in the province of Tarragona.
Regarding the other major prizes, the second prize, worth 750,000 euros per series, was number 45875 and fell in the city of Barcelona. The third prize, 32615 (250,000 euros per series), was not sold in Catalonia, but in Burgos and Granada.
The lottery draw, which distributed 770 million euros in prizes this year, has documented references dating back to 1868, although it did not acquire its own personality and official denomination as the “El Niño” Draw until 1941. The popular name is due to the proximity of the Epiphany of the Lord.
