Following an analysis of the evaluations and attendance from the 2026 program, which focused on screens, the format has been modified after six years. The primary objective for this academic year is to bring the program closer to families, creating a space for exchange and reflection.
Five in-person talks or workshops with specialists will continue, along with a free childcare service requiring prior registration, provided there is a minimum demand of six children.
The main innovation is that each educational center, together with its AFA, will propose the topic for the talk, which will take place at the school itself. Some of the chosen themes for this course include: Sexuality and pornography at Pau Casals school; conflict management with a restorative approach at Font de l’Orpina school; Nutrition for 0-3 year olds at the El Cuc nursery school; and Nighttime rest at the El Xic nursery school.
Furthermore, a workshop for families and children on sexual education is planned for a Saturday morning in January, as part of the Vacarisses Sexual Well-being Plan for Children and Adolescents.
These new proposals stem from active listening and the commitment to continuously improve the Family Training program, based on the conviction that education is a shared task involving families, educational centers, and the City Council.
