The third edition of the GiraFeina employment fair will take place on June 17th at Roca Umbert, offering more than 450 job opportunities.

GiraFeina 2026, Granollers' employment fair, is entering its third edition with positive expectations. The event, scheduled for next Wednesday, June 17th, at Roca Umbert, already boasts over 800 registered individuals and the participation of 46 companies. Of these, 24 are from Granollers and will offer more than 450 job positions for a hundred different professional profiles.
Among this year's participants are the Construction Guild and the Hospitality Guild of Vallès Oriental, as well as well-known companies such as La Roca Village, Carrefour, Leroy Merlin, and BonPreu. Last year, the gathering brought together 46 companies and saw over 1,300 attendees.
The president of the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona in Vallès Oriental, the organizing entity along with the City Council of Granollers, predicts an edition with figures similar to the previous year, exceeding a thousand registrations. This forecast is based on the growing demand from both companies and participants.
The venues at Roca Umbert, which have hosted the event in previous editions, are becoming too small due to the increasing interest. The possibility of extending operating hours is being considered, although the difficulty in ensuring the presence of company representatives throughout the entire day (from 9 am to 2 pm) presents a challenge. The need to expand the spaces is a matter that requires serious consideration.
The Mayor of Granollers, Alba Barnusell, has reiterated the municipal support for the initiative. The Chamber's president highlighted the difficulty that sectors like hospitality and industry face in finding workers, despite a structural unemployment rate of around 8% in the country. He emphasized the importance of continuing to connect the business world with available talent.
As a notable new feature, this year's fair incorporates an "inclusive perspective" through collaboration with Xarxa en Rosa, a platform dedicated to supporting women in their reintegration into the workforce after experiencing breast cancer.
Registrations for GiraFeina are open to all citizens, with a special focus on young people aged 18 to 30. Interested individuals can register via the website granollers.girafeina.cat.
