The Volunteer Point of Granollers, a project dedicated to fostering a culture of citizen participation, has formalized its adherence to the 'Volunteering for Language' (VxL) program. This initiative connects individuals interested in volunteering with non-profit organizations developing social, cultural, and community projects.
With this integration, the Volunteer Point of Granollers becomes part of the VxL's network of collaborating entities. The goal is to broaden the program's reach among local citizens and organizations, encouraging the recruitment of new volunteers and learners, and promoting the use of Catalan in everyday contexts through community activities.
The 'Volunteering for Language' program facilitates Catalan practice through relaxed conversations between regular speakers and learners seeking to improve their fluency. VxL already collaborates with various entities, institutions, and establishments in Granollers that promote the program, host meeting points, and provide participants.
The Granollers Volunteer Point is located at Can Jonch. Centre de Cultura per la Pau, at Carrer del Rec, 19. In-person service hours are on Tuesdays from 11 AM to 1 PM and Thursdays from 6 PM to 8 PM. Contact is also available via the website www.granollers.cat/voluntariat.
