After a clear 31-19 victory against Aula Valladolid in the third-to-last match of the regular season, KH-7 Granollers holds the virtual eighth position, the last spot for the title play-offs. Coach Robert Cuesta has emphasized the importance of the upcoming games.
“"We have two matches left, so we have two finals."
Although qualification does not depend solely on the team from Vallès, with only four points still in play, the positive performance shown at the Palau d'Esports against Aula reinforces their confidence to fight until the end. At halftime, Granollers already led 14-8, and the difference extended to more than ten goals in the second half. Player Martina Capdevila was the top scorer of the match with nine goals.
“"We set our pace, which is the most important thing, and we didn't let the other team get to us."
Currently, KH-7 Granollers has 23 points, maintaining a one-point lead over ninth-placed Sporting La Rioja, who still has to play their Wednesday match against the challenging Costa del Sol Málaga. Granollers' next fixtures include an away game against BM Porriño (sixth with 29 points) this Saturday, and the regular season finale on April 18 at the Palau d'Esports against Elx (seventh with 24 points).
