Around fifteen people have participated in an innovative training session to practice job interviews using virtual reality. The activity, organized by the Department of Economic Promotion of the City Council of La Llagosta, took place over three days at the Can Pelegrí facilities.
The session involved an immersive simulation where participants, users of the Local Employment Service, responded to questions from a virtual interviewer. The virtual reality technology subsequently provided improvement tips and an assessment of non-verbal language.
“"It felt like a very real experience, it was very positive. I think it confronts you with yourself."
Hever Bedoya, 41, one of the job-seeking participants, positively assessed the experience, hoping it will provide him with new tools for future interviews.
“"It helps you prepare for a real job interview."
Meanwhile, Lourdes Gadea, 26, who is also in the process of seeking employment, highlighted how virtual reality contributes to better preparation for actual job interviews.
