The operation has been launched to clean the spaces affected by the storm at the Complex Esportiu Municipal Les Vernedes (CEM) and the facilities of the Club Karate Montornès in the Municipal Sports Zone.
A specialized company is responsible for removing the mud carried by the intense rains. This shock cleanup is necessary to carry out, in a second phase, a more thorough cleaning and final conditioning of the waterlogged areas.
Once the CEM and the Club Karate Montornès facilities are recovered, the cleaning work will continue in the Sports Pavilion, which has suffered severe damage to the court's parquet flooring.
Volunteer members of sports clubs will collaborate this weekend on specific cleaning tasks outside the Municipal Sports Zone.
