A resident of Montornès del Vallès has lost their life as a consequence of the rainstorm that has affected the municipality, causing serious incidents on public roads and forcing the closure of several municipal facilities.

The fatal victim was a resident attempting to access their home's garage when the tragedy occurred. The storm has left a trail of significant disruptions in the municipality, with impassable public roads and the precautionary closure of municipal facilities to assess the damage.
Mobility has been severely impacted. Access to the Can Vilaró plain's orchards is impassable, as are the streets of Ca l’Ametller, which are full of mud. A traffic halt has been ordered on the BV5001 between the neighborhoods of Can Xec and Ca l'Ametller, and Les Tres Creus street is also closed. Access to the company Lucta from Can Parellada street is restricted. Furthermore, the Montornès bridge (on Llibertat avenue) has traffic restrictions for technical checks.
Several municipal facilities have been closed until further notice for technical damage assessment. These include the Municipal Sports Zone, the CEM (with internal damage), the Culture Center, the El Sorralet Multipurpose Tent, the Rosa Leveroni Library, and the Municipal Works Brigade Warehouse. Facilities at primary schools, high schools, and the El Lledoner Nursery are also being inspected.
As a result of the situation, activities planned for the elderly for this Sunday afternoon and tomorrow, Monday the 5th, have been suspended. The City Council urges citizens to respect mobility restrictions and informs that updates will be provided through official channels.
