On the occasion of World Breast Cancer Day, celebrated on October 19th, the Sant Fost City Council has organized a day of activities on Tuesday, October 20th, focused on information, care, and joining forces in the fight against this disease.
At 5 PM, the Jordi Ribas Library will host a breast self-examination workshop. A primary care nurse from the CAP Sant Fost will provide tools to better understand the body and promote early detection. Prior registration via WhatsApp to 672 03 00 66, indicating name and surnames, is recommended.
Later, at 6 PM, the Plaça de la Vila will be the venue for a physical activity masterclass combining 45 minutes of pilates with 45 minutes of zumba. This activity, led by staff from CEM Can Lladó, is open and free, although prior registration at the CEM itself is recommended for organizational reasons.
Between 6 PM and 7:30 PM, the Plaça de la Vila will also feature an information booth from the Associació Contra el Càncer (Association Against Cancer). The organization will provide information about its work and sell solidarity merchandise to support its projects.
This initiative aims to be an afternoon for informing, caring, and joining forces in the fight against breast cancer.
