The Plenary of the Santa Eulàlia de Ronçana Town Hall, held yesterday evening, Thursday, September 24, at the Library, unanimously approved the new water sales tariffs for the drinking water supply service. Mayor Francesc Bonet noted that the tariff increase made in July was insufficient. Opposition councilor Ramon Vilageliu (Independents-ERC) raised the possibility of municipalizing the water service. The concessionary company, Agbar, proposes a general increase of 12.37%, while the May 2026 Plenary had approved a 10% limit.
Three credit modifications were also approved. The first, 15/2026, amounting to 437,545.85 euros, allocates more funds to cover the projected financial expenses for 2026 and to prepay five loans. Economy Councilor Marta Domínguez explained that this measure frees up approximately 450,000 euros from the budgets until 2031 and 112,000 euros for 2027, providing financial flexibility.
The second credit modification, 16/2026, for 33,698.29 euros, will fund the Fiestas (Festivals) budget items and the contribution to the Mancomunitat de la Vall del Tenes (Association of Municipalities of the Tenes Valley).
The latest modification, 17/2026, with an allocation of 9,000 euros, will cover the expenses foreseen for the maintenance of the sewage system. All three points were unanimously approved.
Finally, the Plenary approved the motion jointly presented by Poble Unit (United People) and Independents-ERC to adhere to the Millennial Manifesto of Peace and Truce Assemblies (1027-2027), promoted by the Parliament of Catalonia. The objective is to promote this historical legacy and foster spaces for debate, participation, and coexistence to strengthen human rights and social justice.
