Alcover Municipal Music School (EMMA) concludes the 2025-2026 academic year with auditions and a party, and is already planning a new year with an expected enrollment of 550 students.

The Alcover Municipal Music School (EMMA) has concluded the 2025-2026 academic year with its traditional end-of-year auditions at the Cercle d’Amics d’Alcover and a party at its premises. The institution is already focused on planning for the next academic year, with optimistic expectations.
For the new academic year, EMMA will increase capacity in its Music in Family groups for children aged 6 months and older, accompanied by their parents. Additionally, a new batucada ensemble open to the entire community will be launched, along with a community project in collaboration with the Mare de Déu del Remei school focusing on gralla and timbal, aiming to train future musicians for the town's popular music groups.
The recently concluded academic year was marked by the introduction of community projects in partnership with the Fonts del Glorieta institute. Throughout the year, EMMA and institute professors conducted ukulele and musical theater workshops for 1st-year ESO students, and batucada for 3rd-year ESO students.
Projections for the upcoming academic year are very positive. It is estimated that EMMA will serve approximately 230 direct students and around 320 students through community projects. This would mean serving about 10% of Alcover's inhabitants, reaching the highest figure in the school's history.
