Official figures indicate that Alt Camp had 40,880 vehicles last year, 1,847 more than five years ago. Passenger cars remain the most numerous vehicle type, with a total of 27,215 cars, accounting for over half of the region's vehicle fleet. A significant growth has also been observed in the number of motorcycles, which have increased from 4,339 to 4,940 in the same period.
Valls continues to be the municipality with the most registered vehicles in the region, totaling 19,547 units in 2024. Although cars (13,417) have seen a slight decrease compared to 2022, motorcycles have risen to 2,118, and industrial tractors have also grown notably, from 203 to 325.
Following Valls, Alcover is the second municipality with the most vehicles, with 4,799 registered. Other notable municipalities include el Pla de Santa Maria (1,954) and Vallmoll (1,870). In contrast, smaller towns like Mont-ral and el Milà each register fewer than 200 vehicles.
Overall, the data consolidates a trend of steady growth in the number of vehicles in Alt Camp. Cars remain the primary mode of transport, but the increase in motorcycles and industrial tractors indicates shifts in the composition of the region's vehicle fleet.
