The main festival in Cabra del Camp has officially kicked off with the opening speech, even though the first events, such as a children's show and a youth concert, took place yesterday.
Today, the day began at 10 AM with a parade by the Xaranga Rapitenca in the Plaça de l’Església. Subsequently, a procession and a solemn mass sung by the Grup Coral de Cabra del Camp were held at half past eleven.
Around 1 PM, after the mass, the official opening speech was delivered in the Plaça de l’Església, welcoming the main festival, followed by a traditional dance in the square.
In the afternoon, at 6 PM, the Cobla Selvatana will perform a sardana dance in the Plaça del Centenari. In parallel, there will be a parade with 'nassos' starting from the school track and ending at the pavilion.
Later, a trial exhibition is scheduled at the school track. The night will culminate with a concert and dance featuring Selvatana, followed by a DJ set at the municipality's sports pavilion.
Events will continue tomorrow, Sunday, and Monday, the closing day of the festival.
