The Minister of Agriculture, Òscar Ordeig, presented the 2026-2028 Hazelnut Plan this Monday in la Masó, featuring 25 key actions to ensure the continuity of the local crop.

The strategy unveiled in Alt Camp aims to strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of the industry. A major highlight is the creation of the Plant Health Hub for nuts, designed to centralize crop protection efforts.
The plan includes specific financial aid, funding options, and irrigation improvements. It also focuses on marketing and promoting the high quality of Catalan hazelnuts to differentiate them in international markets.
A new Hazelnut Governance Table will be established to oversee the implementation of these measures, ensuring that sector representatives are involved in the process through 2028.
