A driver was arrested in Valls on the early morning of Wednesday, June 10th, after evading a police checkpoint, refusing a breathalyzer test, and being found in possession of narcotics.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, June 10th. The Valls Local Police had set up a checkpoint at the Mas Clariana roundabout, heading towards the Alcover road. A vehicle ignored the officers' signals and fled, but was intercepted shortly after on the C-37, heading towards Alcover.
Officers observed that the driver, described as a resident of Tarragona, showed clear signs of driving under the influence of alcohol. When asked to take a breathalyzer test, he flatly refused.
