Senator Laura Castel has formally requested the Spanish Senate to prioritize the completion of the A-27 highway connecting Valls and Montblanc to improve regional connectivity.

The motion submitted to the Transport Commission emphasizes that finishing the A-27 is essential for the economic competitiveness of the Tarragona region. The project aims to provide a faster link between the inland areas and the Mediterranean coast.
Regarding the AP-7 motorway, ERC proposes enhancing safety at emergency stops between kilometers 213 and 256. Suggested measures include better lighting, precise GPS location for 112 emergency services, and new signage for safer traffic re-entry.
The initiative also demands urgent road surface repairs near la Pobla de Mafumet and improved drainage maintenance in Constantí to prevent flooding on adjacent agricultural lands.
