The alert was received at half past five in the afternoon and mobilized several ground crews and aerial units. The fire started in an area combining vineyards, mown fields, and reeds.
According to Firefighter sources, the presence of vineyards was key in containing the spread of the flames. Emergency teams focused on closing the right flank of the fire, which is now considered under control.
A total of seven ground crews and two aerial units were deployed, although most did not need to intervene actively. The personnel are from the fire stations in Valls, Montblanc, and El Vendrell.
The affected area is currently limited to half a hectare of vineyard fields.
