The Generalitat Firefighters have been working since Sunday afternoon on a new forest fire declared in Vall d'Infern, in Aiguamúrcia, which is already the third fire recorded in the area in just five days.

The fire, burning forest vegetation, started at 3:57 PM and is advancing with high intensity and uphill, driven by the sea breeze. The head of the fire has generated several secondary outbreaks. According to provisional data from the Rural Agents, the fire already affects approximately 80 hectares and has the potential to burn up to 400.
To combat the flames, 43 units of the Firefighters, nine of which are aerial resources, have been deployed to the site. The Forest Defense Groups (ADF) are also collaborating. Due to the situation, Trànsit has reported the closure of the T-244 road between Querol and Aiguamúrcia.
As a preventive measure, Civil Protection has sent an ES-Alert message requesting the confinement of the population in five municipalities: Aiguamúrcia and Querol (Alt Camp), La Llacuna (Anoia), and Pontons and Torrelles de Foix (Alt Penedès).
