Puigpelat Welcomes Summer Festival 2026

The town celebrates five days of activities, music, and popular culture coinciding with a solar eclipse.

Puigpelat begins its 2026 summer festival today, a celebration set to last until Sunday, August 16th, with five days of activities.

The summer festival in Puigpelat commences today, coinciding with an eclipse, and will run until next Sunday. Over five days, the municipality will offer a diverse program including music, popular culture, shows, sports activities, and family-oriented events.
The opening day features a charity event, 'Mulla't per l'Esclerosi Múltiple' (Splash for Multiple Sclerosis), at the municipal pool, with an entrance fee of 3 euros, all proceeds going to the campaign.
Actor and comedian David Olivares will deliver the opening speech.
In the afternoon, the festival will officially kick off with a parade by the band Xaranga Bandsonats and a circus performance, followed by David Olivares's speech. Afterwards, the eclipse will be observable from the Pi de Puigpelat area.
The evening will conclude with a concert by the ABBA tribute band, The New Experience, recognized for their successful national and international career.
The festivities will continue until Sunday with events such as a popular 'botifarrada' (sausage feast), the 'plantada' of Cuquetes and Timbalers (traditional figures), a dance with Hotel Cochambre, a magic night with Jordi Caps, and various sports and traditional activities.
