The Raventós i Blanc winery has initiated procedures to restore the modernist cooperative in Aiguamúrcia, Alt Camp, aiming to begin vinification there starting with the 2026 harvest.

The project to recover the emblematic cooperative, which has been unused for 40 years, is part of Raventós i Blanc's commitment to still wines from the Can Sumoi estate in Montmell. The building, listed as a Local Cultural Asset of Interest, is part of the 'Wine Cathedrals' catalogue.
The cooperative was designed in 1919 by the architect Cèsar Martinell, a recognized disciple of Antoni Gaudí. To start the work, the winery has requested quotes and processed the necessary permits.

If the deadlines end up being extended, we would move the first vinification at the cooperative to 2027.

Given the building's protected status, approval must be obtained from both the Aiguamúrcia City Council and the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya. The rehabilitation will primarily focus on the interior, as the facade and exterior image will be preserved to maintain the spirit of the original design.
