Hundreds of residents from El Pla de Santa Maria participated this Sunday in the second edition of the Enric Fonts Popular Walk, a non-competitive eight-kilometer route to enjoy the landscape and physical activity.

The town of El Pla de Santa Maria experienced a day of sport and camaraderie this morning with the celebration of the second Enric Fonts Popular Walk. The event, which began at 9 AM with departure and arrival at the Town Hall square, gathered a good number of participants ready to discover the municipality's natural environment.
The hikers followed an eight-kilometer route that took them to the hermitage of Sant Ramon and then to Figuerola del Camp. The route featured an accumulated elevation gain of 250 meters and an approximate duration of three hours, offering participants the chance to enjoy the scenery and physical activity in good company.
During the walk, participants were able to enjoy a small refreshment to regain strength, and upon completion of the activity, another break was offered to recover energy. This non-competitive initiative aimed to promote knowledge of the natural surroundings and foster community spirit among residents.
The walk was jointly organized by the Town Hall of El Pla de Santa Maria, the CE La Xiruca Foradada, and the Escatllots del Pla, with the goal of revitalizing local life and promoting healthy habits.
