The Vallmoll City Council has undertaken new preventive pest control operations in key municipal facilities, including nurseries and the sewage system, to combat the proliferation of insects during the warmer months.

The municipal nurseries El Niu and L’Espígol have recently undergone a new preventive pest control campaign. The aim is to manage the presence of ticks, ants, and other insects that typically increase during spring and summer, thereby ensuring a safe environment for children.
This initiative, which also includes the disinfection and pest control of the drains in Unió street to manage cockroaches, is financially supported by the Provincial Council of Tarragona. It is part of the Public Health Program designed to reduce the proliferation of pest species in urban areas that may affect public health, falling under the Pla ImpulsDipta 2026.
