The Unió Figueres team, coached by Pau Téllez, earned an important point in the Primera Catalana women's Empordà derby against L'Estartit. The final 2-2 score was achieved after a significant comeback.
The Figueres side conceded two quick goals, in the 12th and 15th minutes, putting them at a disadvantage. However, the reaction was immediate: Laia Palomeras scored in the 17th minute, and Laia Ansón leveled the score at 2-2 in the 26th minute, just before halftime.
In the second half, the unionist team created several clear opportunities to complete the comeback and take all three points, but they failed to convert their chances.
With this draw, Unió Figueres remains seventh in the comfortable mid-table zone of Primera Catalana, tied on twenty points with Cerdanyola. Their next match will be next Sunday at Vilatenim against the league leader, L'Hospitalet.
