Figueres launches new discount voucher campaign to boost local commerce

Residents over 18 years old can obtain two vouchers worth 10 euros each to spend in nearly 140 participating establishments.

The Figueres City Council is activating the campaign "Si t'estimes Figueres, compra a Figueres!" between February 6 and March 6 to encourage local shopping with subsidies of up to 20 euros per person.

The initiative, designed to revitalize the local economic fabric, will allow registered Figueres residents over 18 years old to download two 10 euro vouchers. These discounts can be used in any of the nearly 140 shops and catering establishments participating, provided the minimum expenditure is 20 euros per voucher.
Vouchers will be available starting February 6 via the municipal website or in person at the Tourism Office, located in the Escorxador square. Once obtained, users will have a period of 15 calendar days to use them at the participating establishments.
The Figueres council has allocated a budget of 125,000 euros for this new edition, which is supported by Comerç Figueres and the Girona Chamber of Commerce. This commitment reaffirms the municipal dedication to the commercial sector.
The success of the previous edition, held before Christmas, was significant, generating an economic injection of 346,603 euros into the city's commerce, with a total of 6,352 purchases registered among the 110 participating establishments.
