The festival's opening, titled “La Santa Gresca” (The Holy Revelry), will take place in L'Escala and signal the beginning of the summer cultural program on the Costa Brava. The Ítaca Festival, known for its commitment to independent music and unique venues, celebrates its fourteenth edition this year, consolidating its position as a key event in the Girona region.
The inaugural lineup includes Mama Dousha, one of the rising stars of Catalan electronic pop, who will present her latest hits. They will be joined by Malifeta, offering an urban fusion proposal, and DJ Trapella, who will close the night with a dance music session.
The Ítaca Festival is characterized by its ability to combine music, heritage, and unique locations, offering a decentralized cultural experience throughout the Alt Empordà.
This edition maintains its philosophy of decentralization, bringing performances to various locations across the Alt Empordà and combining established artists with new promises from the Catalan and international music scene, although L'Escala is traditionally the setting for the largest opening event.
