Alt Empordà triumphs at the first Girona Delícia awards

Five professionals and businesses from the region receive recognition for their gastronomic excellence.

Five representatives from Alt Empordà have been honored in the first edition of the Girona Delícia awards, to be presented this Wednesday, March 11, at the Palau de Fires de Girona.

The local gastronomic sector will celebrate the excellence of several initiatives. Among the winners is Joan Manté from the renowned Motel de Figueres, who received the Dining Room Award for his lifelong career in service and sommelierie at the Subirós family establishment.
In production, the Mas Llunes winery in Garriguella won the Winery Award, while Manel Marcè from Peralada Mas Marcè took the Producer Award for his organic dairy products. The Cap de Creus fishermen were also recognized for their collective marketing efforts.
Local commerce was highlighted with the Retail Award for the Lleva't! bakery in Avinyonet de Puigventós. Other winners include the late Agustí Ensesa and chefs from Divinum and L'Aliança d'Anglès, chosen by a professional jury.
