The program kicks off on Friday, September 11th, with the puppet show Trobairitz, by Micro Troupe, as part of the Festival Terra de Trobadors. This event aims to introduce the medieval world to young children in a fun and educational way.
Starting September 30th, L’hora del conte (Story Time) will resume, held every fortnight on Wednesdays at 4:30 PM, targeting children aged 3 and up to foster a love for reading and imagination. A special session of La Castanyera on October 28th will include an origami workshop related to autumn celebrations.
A Bibliomakers workshop titled "Experimenting with STEAM: Mechanisms, Robotics, and Programming" is also scheduled for children aged 4 and 5. It will take place over three sessions on October 27th, November 3rd, and November 10th, from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, offering a hands-on introduction to science and technology concepts.
This workshop is free for library users, with limited places requiring prior registration.
Furthermore, the Nascuts per Llegir (Born to Read) program is boosting early childhood activities (0-3 years), providing resources and spaces for families. Three sessions are planned: Cançons i contes a la pell (Songs and Stories on the Skin) on September 25th (babies 0-12 months), A la plaça fan ballades (Dancing in the Square) on October 2nd (children up to 6 years), and Música i lletres des del bressol (Music and Letters from the Cradle) on November 6th (children 0-3 years).
All activities are free but require advance registration at the library due to limited capacity.
