The Figueres City Council closed access to the Parc Bosc on Monday, January 19, after a tree fell due to the heavy rains affecting the area.

The decision, made by the Figueres City Council, aims to ensure public safety following the damage caused by the recent storm that has impacted the Alt Empordà region.

The tree fall, caused by soil saturation and wind associated with the intense rainfall, forced the local government to take immediate measures to prevent further risks.
Municipal services are currently assessing the damage and working to remove the fallen tree and secure the remaining trees before the area can be safely reopened to the public.
