The 'quina' is one of the most deeply rooted traditions of the Christmas holidays in the region, serving as a meeting point for families and groups of friends. This year, the schedule is particularly dense, with activities planned from Saturday afternoon until Sunday evening in towns such as Llers, Borrassà, Palau-saverdera, and Maçanet de Cabrenys.
On Saturday, December 20, sessions start in the early afternoon, highlighting the bingo at the Casal de la Gent Gran in Llançà at 4 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., Palau-saverdera holds its “Special Quina, the ham bingo” at the Civic Center. Other important sessions include those in Borrassà (7 p.m., Sala de l’Ateneu) and Maçanet de Cabrenys (7 p.m., Sala d’Espectacles “La Maçanetenca”).
The activity continues on Sunday, December 21, with a large bingo game in Cabanes (7 p.m., Local Social) and the family bingo organized by the CER in L’Escala (6 p.m.). The session in Llers, held at the Municipal Pavilion at 7 p.m., has a card price of 15 €. Bingo games are also scheduled in Sant Miquel de Fluvià, Viladamat, and El Port de la Selva, ensuring options for all residents of Alt Empordà.
