The Club Trail Running Cap de Creus has unveiled its new specialization team for the 2026 season in Vilajuïga, comprising sixteen young athletes aged between twelve and seventeen, aiming to foster their athletic development.

The presentation event, held last Friday at the Vilajuïga Civic Center, marks a significant step forward for the entity in its commitment to the training and growth of young athletes. This initiative seeks to consolidate a sports project that already boasts nearly two hundred athletes and has become a benchmark in mountain runner training since its founding in 2013.
The sixteen selected talents have been chosen for their progression, potential, and dedication to the sport. During the presentation, each athlete received the official specialization group jersey, symbolizing their incorporation into a comprehensive program. This program includes specific and tailored training, individualized performance monitoring, periodic evaluations, and education based on values such as health and emotional management.
The team members will compete this season in various official events of the Federation of Excursionist Entities of Catalonia, including the Catalan Cup and the Catalan Championship. With the creation of this specialization team, the Club Trail Running Cap de Creus reaffirms its commitment to a sports model focused on individuals and the sustainable development of trail running in the region.
