The Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres will open a new exhibition next Tuesday, March 24, featuring eleven pieces from its permanent collection focused on the artist's experimentation with optical illusions.

The new cultural display will be located in the Sala de les Lògies, the space previously occupied by The Madonna of Port Lligat. This selection of works delves into the investigative side of Salvador Dalí, particularly during the 1970s, when the artist used scientific advances to challenge the viewer's gaze.
The collection includes eight paintings, a drawing, an anamorphosis, six photographs, and a hologram recording. Key techniques on display include stereoscopy, which uses nearly identical images to create relief, and anaglyphs, which generate three-dimensional depth through complementary colors.
The exhibition also highlights the paranoiac-critical method, a system Dalí developed in the 1930s to create images with multiple interpretations. The show, which will remain open for at least two years, offers a journey through the visual universe of anamorphoses and transformations.
