About 400 people, mostly teenagers, gathered this Friday at La Rambla de Figueres to witness a 'therian' meeting that ultimately lacked the presence of its organizers.

The event, promoted via the TikTok account Therians Figueres, was scheduled between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Despite the high expectations and the monitoring by the Mossos d'Esquadra police force, the gathering turned into a crowd of curious onlookers waiting to record content with their smartphones.
The 'therian' community consists of individuals who identify spiritually as non-human animals. This subculture often involves wearing masks or tails and practicing quadrobics, which are movements performed on all four limbs.
Similar viral events have recently occurred in Girona and Barcelona. Although the organizers called for a respectful environment in the Alt Empordà capital, the meeting concluded without any actual interaction between the digital community members and the public.
