In a recent interview, Pedret addressed the opposition from Figueres local authorities regarding Pedro Sánchez's migration policies. He argued that bringing people out of the underground economy is vital for the dignity of families and the overall safety of the Alt Empordà area.
“"Opposing the regularization of immigrants is not good for coexistence or security."
Regarding infrastructure, Pedret noted that the Rodalies commuter rail plan has already executed 77% of its first phase, investing 2.666 billion euros. He also called for better rail connections between Vilamalla and Portbou to align with European Union strategic goals.
On border security, he highlighted the new Urban Economic Promotion Area in la Jonquera as a tool to combat drug trafficking and improve the local business environment through increased police presence and cooperation.
