The Mayor of Figueres, Jordi Masquef, and the Government Delegate in Catalonia, Carlos Prieto, met this Tuesday to advance key infrastructure projects for the city's urban area.

The meeting focused on the municipalization of the Salvador Dalí Avenue, a former national highway. The project requires a nine million euro investment from the central government to renovate the road before the Figueres City Council takes full control of its management.
Regarding transport, Prieto confirmed that the N-II bypass projects in Pont de Molins and Vilamalla are on track. Construction for the ring road expansion is expected to begin by late 2026, following the current tender evaluation process.

"This situation will not affect the projects already underway."
