The Cap de Creus Natural Park welcomes nearly 960,000 visitors every year, with international tourists making up 35% of the total and contributing 84.4 million euros to the local economy.

A comprehensive study by EcoData Natura reveals that French citizens are the most prominent foreign group, accounting for 21.9% of all visits. Within Spain, the majority of visitors travel from Barcelona and Girona to enjoy the unique maritime-terrestrial landscape of the Alt Empordà region.
The Punta de Cap de Creus area remains the most popular spot, receiving 44% of the park's traffic. Hiking is the preferred activity for 40% of users, followed by swimming and walking. Despite the high numbers, only 2.6% of visitors reported feeling that the area was overcrowded.
The report suggests improvements in signage and parking management to enhance the visitor experience. With an average spending of 143 euros per person, the park remains a vital economic driver for municipalities like Roses, Cadaqués, and Port de la Selva.
