The Fundació Salut Empordà has validated its roadmap for the 2026-2030 period, a project that seeks to transform the care model with a more community-based and technological approach.

The document, designed through a participatory process with the collaboration of more than 450 professionals and social agents from the Alt Empordà, establishes the guidelines for the next five years. The main objective is to adapt the organization to current demographic needs, focusing on care for frailty and chronic conditions.
The strategy will be applied transversally across the centers managed by the entity, such as the Hospital de Figueres, the Hospital d'Atenció Intermèdia Bernat Jaume, the Àrea Bàsica de Salut de l'Escala, the Centre de Rehabilitació de Roses, and the Clínica Santa Creu.
The plan is structured around three main axes and one transversal axis. The first focuses on people, seeking to improve the patient experience and the well-being of workers. The second axis bets on care transformation, promoting home care. The third axis seeks economic efficiency and the modernization of infrastructure through artificial intelligence and robotics.
Finally, the innovation and knowledge axis aims to strengthen the entity's teaching and research role, consolidating collaboration with the Universitat de Girona and promoting the Institut d'Innovació i Recerca Glòria Compte as a territorial benchmark.
