The Bertranada Fest reaches its third edition in Vilabertran this Saturday, July 18th, featuring a program of free musical performances at the Plaça de l'Església. The event will kick off at 7:30 PM with a food truck area, followed by concerts starting at 9:00 PM.
The opening act will be the Orquestra Di-Versiones, a pioneer in cover bands, presenting their "ERES ToÚr" tour. At midnight, the Catalan group Els Catarres will perform as part of their "Sense drama" tour, followed at 2:00 AM by Live&Loud Flaixbac, with Carles Pérez and Pau Mestres reviewing current musical hits.
The Vilabertran town council has chosen Els Catarres for their "fit with the festive and family atmosphere" of the festival, which aims to attract a broad audience from the Alt Empordà region. Following the success of previous editions featuring bands like Buhos or Ginestà, the Bertranada Fest has established itself as a summer event.
In addition to the Bertranada, Vilabertran will host other musical events this summer, including the El Viver de la Bertranada Fest series and the 34th Schubertíada festival at the Canònica de Santa Maria starting August 16th.
To facilitate access, parking has been expanded. The council also urges attendees to exercise "maximum responsibility towards the municipality" to minimize ecological impact and promote sustainable consumption.
